Fourteen injured as six cars collide

Fourteen people were left injured following a six vehicle collision on the R28 near Silverstar Casino, West of Johannesburg on Wednesday morning.

According to ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, “Paramedics, along with other services, arrived on scene and found the one lane of the road blocked.

On assessment, paramedics found that 14 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately no-one had sustained any serious injuries.

“Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to nearby hospitals for further treatment.”

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
