Man held up at gunpoint at ATM

The man was confronted by three men – Police.

A 43-year-old man was robbed at an ATM next to the butchery in the Greenhills circle.

The incident occurred at approximately 6.55am on Sunday.

According to Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein Police, “The man allegedly went to the ATM to withdraw money. She said the man was confronted by three unknown men, one of which was armed.

He was held at gunpoint and robbed of his cash and cellular telephone. The suspects then left the scene. No injuries were sustained by the victim,” Ernst said.

The investigating officer, Warrant Officer Bongani Mpete would appreciate any information that might assist him in the investigation. Mpete can be contacted on 011 278 8100.
