‘Why I spend my life working for God’

It was through a hijacking incident that a doctor decided to give his all for God.

Doctor Louis Blom, president of Judea Harvest Ministries recently delivered an interesting presentation in the Toekomsrus Community Hall.

Pastor Abri Erasmus from Woord en Lig Church, Pastor Paul Claassen from the Charisma Church in Toekomsrus and councillor Bernard Roosekrans were also speakers at the event. Doctor Blom thanked members of the communities Finsbury, Mohlakeng, Randfontein, Ennerdale, Toekomsrus and Krugersdorp for their presence.

Blom explained the events that led up to him heading Judea Harvest.

A long time ago, he found himself in the company of three hijackers, trying to hijack his car.

They asked him how to operate his vehicle, where, by his own surprise, he answered them,

It is not my car, it is God’s car.”

This brave comment led to one of the hijackers pointing a gun at his face. When the criminal shot the gun, by some miracle the gun did not go off.

That day he decided he will spend the rest of his life, working for God.

Judea Harvest has the following mission and belief:

• They strongly believe that Jesus changes people’s lives

• They will reach people to inform them of God

• They believe that when Jesus changes you, the people around you also change

Judea Harvest consists of three groups, namely Judea Hope – who supplies food for pre schools; Judea Training – that equips God’s leaders and Judea Harvest.

The Judea John Journey distributes bibles to the community. Judea Harvest also believes that pastors must train, equip, develop other leaders and plant churches.

Judea Harvest is actively involved in setting up Judea tents and Snap Church buildings and they are hugely successful in the amounts they have managed to set up.

Judea Hope also gave 50 Randfontein pre-schools free food packages.
