Man, 23, stabbed and killed by friend
A 35-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with the stabbing.
A social gathering ended with man, 23, being stabbed and later dying at Emergency Services in Westergloor.
The incident took place on Friday evening on 24 July at approximately 8:50pm in Mohlakeng.
According to Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein police, friends were allegedly socialising in the area when an argument broke out.
Ernst explains that the argument turned physical when a man, 35, stabbed the 23-year-old.
One stabbed the other with a sharp instrument in the upper body. The 23-year-old victim was immediately transported in a private vehicle to the Emergency Services in Westergloor. He was unfortunately declared dead on arrival.” she said.
The 35-yer-old suspect was immediately arrested after Randfontein police were called to the scene.
He appeared in the Randfontein Magistrates Court on Monday, 27 July, 2015.
