Police on the hunt for murder suspect

'The suspect is a medium-built male, dark in complexion with short, dark dreadlocks and he speaks Afrikaans.'

The Randfontein Police are on the hunt for a murder suspect.

They urge the community to be on the lookout and to provide them with any information that might lead to his arrest.

According to Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein Police, “An identikit has been made available of a suspect who allegedly was involved in a murder in Pelzvale on 6 December last year where a 39-year-old man was killed.

The suspect was part of a group of men who allegedly murdered a man and robbed a house in Pelzvale,” Ernst said.

Distinguishable features:

• Male

• Dark complexion

• Between 36 and 37 years old

• Medium build

• Approximately 1,75 metres tall

• Short, dark dreadlocks

• Allegedly wore a white T-shirt and All Star sneakers at the time of the incident

• Speaks Afrikaans

• Was armed

The investigating officer, Warrant Officer Santie le Roux-Laufs, will appreciate any information that might lead to the finding and arresting the suspect and his accomplices. She can be contacted on 011 278 8100.
