Armed suspects target mom, two children
‘They were allegedly held at gunpoint and robbed of a cell phone and a handbag’ – Police
A mother, 39, and her two children were allegedly the victims of an armed robbery in Helikon Park on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident took place at approximately 6.30pm when the mother returned home.
According to Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein Police,
It is alleged she was confronted by three armed suspects. The victim was in the company of her two children. They were allegedly held at gunpoint and robbed of a cell phone and a handbag containing personal belongings.”
Ernst continued, “The suspects then fled the scene. Randfontein police detectives are investigating the matter.”
