New networking format for RPA

'Effective networking is about expanding one’s list of contacts.'

The Randfontein Publicity Association (RPA) last week introduced a new networking format to its monthly get-together.

Approximately 40 people braved the cold to attend the function with some invited guests coming from as far as Cresta and Roodepoort.

Guest speaker was Nicholas Eastaugh from Business Doctor who gave a brief presentation titled: How Healthy is Your Business?

“We felt our networking functions were not producing enough referrals and as much as we all enjoy socialising on a regular basis, we have to focus on the core function of the monthly events,” Joy Hamann, RPA Publicity Officer said.

Hamann continued,

Effective networking is about expanding one’s list of contacts, building relationships and promoting one’s company. By doing that, RPA members can become walking, talking advertisements for one another.”

RPA members Battery Clinic and Entin Estates sponsored the food, while Randfontein Rugby Club sponsored the venue.

Hamann added, “Several members commented afterwards they enjoyed the new format and found it far more effective.”
