Biker and pedestrian killed in crash

‘It’s understood the pedestrian failed to notice the motorbike while crossing the road’.

Two men were killed after a motorbike collided with a pedestrian on Hendrik Potgieter Road in Muldersdrift on the West Rand on Thursday.

According to ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, “Paramedics from the ER24 Johannesburg West branch were alerted to the incident, and upon their arrival, found two lifeless lying in the middle of the road. A wrecked motorcycle lay roughly 50 metres away from the patients.

“Paramedics assessed the motionless body of the pedestrian and found that he had already succumbed to his multiple fatal injuries. Nothing more could be done for him and he was declared dead on scene.
