RPA wins big at West Rand Tourism awards

The eighth West Rand Tourism Awards ceremony was held at Silverstar Casino on Monday 29 June where the Randfontein Publicity Association (RPA) walked away big.
Awards were presented to various companies to reward tourism practices on the West Rand. Categories included accommodation, food and beverage, conference and wedding venues, tour guides and tour operators, tourism experiences and special awards.
The RPA received the West Rand District Municipality (WRDM) executive mayor’s special award for service excellence.
The WRDM Executive Mayor, Alderman KM Nawa thanked them for demonstrating continued commitment required to achieve excellence and success.
Tokozile Xasa, Deputy Minister of Tourism and WRDM MMC councillor Dennis Thabe assisted the executive mayor in presenting the Service Excellence Award.
