Motorists to cough up more at pumps

More than 40 cents will be added to the current petrol price as of Wednesday.

The petrol price is scheduled to increase by more than 40 cents per litre as of 1 July.

  • Both grades of Diesel will increase by 40 cents per litre.
  • Illuminating paraffin (SMNRP) will increase by 80 cents per litre.
  • Illuminating paraffin (wholesale) will increase by 60 cents per litre.
  • Petrol (93 ULP and LRP) will increase by 44 cents per litre.
  • Petrol (95 ULP and LRP) will increase by 41 cents per litre.
  • Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will increase by 56 cents per kilogram

Petrol will cost approximately R13.34 per litre at the coast from next Wednesday and approximately R13.77 inland for 95 octane petrol.
