RHS just too good for the rest

School's presentation on overcoming xenophobia surpass efforts by their competitors.

Randfontein High School (RHS) pupils from the Youth Citizens Action Programme (YCAP) were declared winners of the District level competition held on 20 June.

They will now represent Gauteng West at the Provincial competition to be held in September.

According to the school their presentation on overcoming xenophobia surpassed efforts by their competitors.

The team conducted various research programmes at RHS and discovered there are 18 language groups at the school with pupils from Egypt, Congo, Zambia, Malawi, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Somalia and Sudan.

These pupils find the school a healthy environment where all are one despite their ethnicity and language differences.

The Provincial competition takes place over a weekend and pupils interact with professionals to seek solutions to the various problems we face in South African schools.
