Helikon Park, will you help the needy?
Drive to take place in and around Helikon Park on Saturday 4 July.
DA Ward 7 committee members as well as members of NG Welsyn will be walking the streets on the first weekend of July collecting food, clothes and unused household items for charity.
The drive will take place in and around Helikon Park on Saturday 4 July.
All items collected on the day will go to the NG Welsyn Church Charity in Randpoort who will then hand it over to the needy. The project is the brainchild of the DA Ward 7 events committee. Craig Harrison is the ward councillor for the Area.
“We are collecting anything the charity can hand out, from non-perishable food and clothing to general household items – anything you and your family no longer use,” Harrison said.
They will be going door to door with trolleys to collect the donations.
Harrison urges residents of Helikon Park to put anything they can aside for when they make their rounds.
