Two more loved ones who lost their lives in the Brandvlei horror crash have been laid to rest on Wednesday.
The funeral service for Jackie and Alandri Alberts drew nearly 500 people if not more to the Lewende NG Kerk at the Randfontein Golf Club’s former tennis courts.
Cars parked each other in and the church itself was so full that the church had to make an overflow room available.
Family, friends, school children and colleagues sat in disbelief at the mother and daughter passing — unable to hold back tears, the church was filled with sounds of sniffles.
“How do I say goodbye to someone I have known for such a short period of time and have had so much love for?” said Adri Kolesky to her granddaughter in a letter.
Of Jackie there was said how beautiful and young she was with so much life to still live. According to Cheronique Parau from Nic Diederichs Technical School Jackie was her accounting teacher and was by far her favourite teacher.
Bühner’s funeral was held in the NG Suiderlig-kerk in Krugersdorp West on Tuesday.
