Man burns to death in house fire

Body of man in his 60s was found lying in his room — ER24.

A man in his 60s was killed after a fire broke out in his Mohlakeng home in Lemeko Road on Friday morning.

According to ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, “Paramedics from the Johannesburg West branch arrived on scene and found that fire services had already extinguished most of the blaze on the small house.

“Once completely extinguished, paramedics and fire services searched the residence, and finally found the lifeless body of the man lying in the corner of his room.

“Unfortunately the man had already succumbed to his multiple burn injuries.”

Local authorities were on scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
