Brandvlei horror crash: Another loved one identified

Mother and daughter killed in Brandvlei horror crash.

Former principal of Hoërskool Riebeeckrand (Rierand), Gunther Bühner and Jackie Alberts, a former teacher of Rierand as well as her daughter, 5, passed away with six other people in a horror crash in Brandvlei.

Bühner and Alberts were driving in a Cross Polo on the N14 near the Brandvlei intersection when a head-on collision occurred with a 1 series BMW.

As a result of the crash, the BMW set alight. There were five people in either car. Six people in total died on the scene and four survived (two from each car).

The Herald  have since established the identities of some of the people who were in the Cross Polo. According to reports, Alberts was driving and Bühner was the passenger.

In the back of the car was Bühner’s daughter Jané Bühner and Alberts two children. One of Albert’s children have been identified as Alandri Alberts — she passed away in the collision. Her brother has not yet been identified.
