Baby Keegan laid to rest

The small coffin sadly the second that mother Jenny Boshoff would see descending into the ground.

Baby Keegan Conner who struggled through his short life with illness was laid to rest on Monday following his passing last week.

On Friday 15 May baby Keegan was declared dead at a hospital at approximately 10.30pm after becoming ill once again, but this time for last.

The funeral was held at Die Lewende Nuwe Generasie NG Kerk in Robinson at no charge and was further sponsored by Ben Moorgenrood and Renlin Reach Foundation. The community also played a substantial part in the procession.

The small coffin would sadly be the second that Jenny Boshoff, mother of baby Keegan, would see descending into the ground as Boshoff lost a daughter previously as well.

It is a difficult time for Boshoff and family, however, she was strong on the day of the funeral as she received support from family, friends and a church community that was more than willing to assist her in her time of need.

Since an initial article about baby Keegan was placed in the Herald, the family has received a large amount of support from the community and Boshoff thanks those who made a difference in their lives before Keegan’s passing.

Boshoff would appreciate any donations in any form as the financial strain of trying to bring baby Keegan through his condition has weighed heavily on the family. Affordable accommodation as well as job opportunities in debt and credit would be welcomed by Boshoff.
