Meet R’fontein’s born-free triplets

Sibling musicians have the world at their feet.

A set of born-free triplets tell about what life is like for a born free and how the world is their oyster.

These three born frees, Sinovuyo, Siseko and Sithandile Dungelo were born on 24 June 1994, which makes them 21 this year.

When asked how they feel about apartheid, Sinovuyo said, “We’ve heard about it from our parents but it’s more like a story for us. We’re born free and the advantage is that we can study what we want. There are more opportunities for us now.”

Being fortunate enough to be born free in South Africa, these three have the world in the palm of their hand; they all aspire to having a thriving career in music.

They have started a hip-hop group, called Triple S as all three their names begin with an ‘S’. The group was formed in 2011. They were one of the acts at the 2015 Randfontein Show.

Despite showing a keen interest in music, all three currently are studying and believe education should be made a priority.

The trio is not the only children; they also have two older brothers and a younger sister.

“We would like to thank our parents who worked very hard to raise us. We love them,” Sinovuyo said.
