Man critical after car crashes into wall

40-year-old man cut out of vehicle following collision with wall.

A motorist sustained critical injuries after the vehicle he was travelling in crashed into a wall of a home in Steyn Street in Kocksoord on Tuesday morning.

Santi Steinmann, spokesperson for Netcare 911 confirmed, “A 40-year-old man crashed into a wall. He was in critical condition. The injured man was treated at the scene and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. Exact detail surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.”

According to Juanita Posthumus, who lives close by where the accident occurred, the man was speeding down the road before he crashed into the wall.

The 40-year-old man had to be cut out of his vehicle as driver’s door was unable to open.

The home that was crashed into is currently unoccupied and is on the market.
