Two injured in two-truck collision

'Road completely blocked by the overturned trailer.'

Two men were injured when two trucks collided – one overturning – on the N14 outside of Carletonville on Wednesday afternoon.

According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring “Paramedics along with other services arrived on scene to find the road completely blocked by the overturned trailer. The truck had stopped some distance off into a farm.

“On assessment, paramedics discovered that two men had sustained only minor injuries in the collision. Fortunately all involved had escaped serious injuries.

“Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to a Carletonville hospital for further
observations. Recovery services were on scene to remove the overturned vehicle.

“The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.”
