RPA family grows

'It turned out to be a very interesting evening' — RPA

Members of the Randfontein Publicity Association (RPA) further built relationships at the recent networking function held at Woodburn Furniture.

According to Joy Hamann of the RPA, “It turned out to be a very interesting evening.

“Not only did we learn how Woodburn Furniture’s products are customised and hand-made, we also learned about some serious community issues such as the increasing house robberies, the high rate of HIV-positive findings among young white females and the number of families in Randfontein, Mohlakeng and Toekomsrus in dire need of food, blankets and clothing.”

The RPA thank Zaheer Gangat, chairperson of the Randfontein CPF for enlightening everyone on crime issues and for encouraging all to be more vigilant, whether at work, in town or at home.

“Thanks also to Mzi Tskikitsha, Carryou Ministry programme manager of the DOH testing and social mobilisation programme, for making us aware that the HIV-positive issues not only affect the poorer communities. Also to Pastor Johan van der Merwe from the Lewende Nuwe Generasie Kerk for highlighting the fact that there are many, many needy families in our area.”

Lucky Draw Winner: Louis Jordaan (Woodburn Furniture), host and sponsor of the networking evening, presents Kobus Steenkamp (Remax) with the lucky draw prize (sponsored by RPA).
