UPDATE: Woman’s body in veld identified

Deceased was a mother of two.

The woman who was found dead in a veld in Aureus recently has been identified by her eldest daughter.

The name of the deceased is Sina Motsei.

Her daughter, Nthabiseng Motsei told the Herald, “My mother left home on Sunday 25 April. She went to go see a doctor. When she phoned me around 8pm I heard strange noises in the background. I thought it was just bad cellphone reception and when I tried to call her back, she did not answer.

“I can only thank God I found my mother. Even though she is dead; it’s better than not knowing at all. Maybe I can have some peace now.”

Police are yet to confirm circumstances in which the woman went missing.
