R’fontein kickboxers dominate in Limpopo

Mile High Kickboxing Club manage eight first places, one second place.

Kickboxers from the Mile High Kickboxing and Shidokan Club dominated the Rage 4 event held in Limpopo recently.

At the competition, Randfontein walked away with eight first places and one second places in total.

The first fight was between Alex Frohlich and Tyron Miller from Randfontein. The fight resulted in Miller winning by a technical knockout (TKO) in round three. The following fight was between Louis Anderson and Jannie Barnard from Randfontein who also beat his opponent over three rounds but Barnard won on points.

During the third fight, it was time for the women to shine. They participated in a Shidokan fight where Jo-Aan Barnard from Randfontein went up against Babara Coetzer. These two went three rounds with Barnard eventually announced winner on points.

The competition then turned serious and it was time for the senior extreme striking fight between Henry Daffue and TJ Laubscher from Randfontein. Laubscher beat Daffue by TKO within the first few minutes of the second round.

The heavyweights began to battle and Ruan Erasmus was up against Barend van der Linde. Erasmus beat van der Linde by TKO within one minute and 10 seconds in the second round.

Henk Pelser, owner of the Mile High Kickboxing and Shidokan Club walked away from the competition with his head held high as his fighters fought well to make it to the top spots.
