Pregnant woman injured in crash

'Patient is nine months pregnant' - ER24.

A collision involving two light motor vehicles on Welverdiend Road near Carletonville on Thursday left three people injured – one of which was a female patient that is nine months pregnant.

According to Pieter Rossouw, ER24 spokesperson “When paramedics arrived on scene they discovered that two male patients had sustained moderate injuries and the pregnant woman was also moderately injured.

“ER24 paramedics treated and transported the two male patients – one to LenMed Hospital in Randfontein and the other to Carletonville Hospital for further treatment.

“The cause of the incident remains unknown.”
