How to read your load shedding schedule

Don't be in the dark when reading your load shedding schedule.

There are some common misconceptions about load shedding and when it will occur especially around the different stages of load shedding.

It is a common misconception that when Eskom announces load shedding stage 3 that the public will be load shed for a longer duration. The only difference between the stages is that Eskom will load shed more areas, the higher the stage.

In order to see which stage Eskom has implemented visit the Eskom load shedding page.

According to the Eskom load shedding page, the major electricity power has not implemented any load shedding for today (21 April) as yet but this could change should the demand rise.

However, it has been reported the chances for load shedding is medium in the morning while the chances for load shedding in the evening is very high.
