Know your status in 10 minutes

Carryou Ministry urges the public to know their status.

Carryou Ministry, supported by the Gauteng Department of Health, recently helped the community to know their status.

Carryou Ministry, a non-profit organisation, has many branches helping orphans, the homeless and abused members of the community.

Last Wednesday (25 March) the team set up gazebos at Shoprite in Randfontein CBD where people could get their blood sugar and blood pressure tested for free. Free rapid HIV/Aids tests were also available, which took only 10 minutes to reveal the person’s status.

“This is an incentive for the community to come and have their tests done. Today we are handing out water bottles to everyone taking the tests,” Mary-Jane Lekgoe from Carryou explained.

The Carryou team has been targeting different areas in and around Randfontein to test as many people as possible.

“We are taking the service to the people. We even can test people at their businesses if they contact us and set up a meeting,” Mary-Jane said.

If you want to get involved or want the Carryou team to visit your company, contact Mary-Jane on 071 677 2135.
