6 000 attend career exhibition

Rotary Club host successful career exhibition

The Rotary Club of Krugersdorp exceeded expectations at the Opening Ceremony of their 25th West Rand Careers Exhibition held on Tuesday.

The aim of the exhibit was to provide a venue and an occasion where students of school leaving age, may be exposed to multiple career choices presented by various and as many institutions as possible.

The career exhibitions is by far the biggest annual event organized by the Krugersdorp Rotary Club with approximately 6 000 pupils and educators from some 30 schools attending the exhibition over the three day period.

During the opening at the Show Hall of the Greenhills Sport Complex the winners of the best stalls from all the exhibitors were also announced. There were 25 exhibitors in total with Netcare taking the best overall stand.

Other winners included Westcol (Gold for Education), SANDF (South African National Defense Force) and FNB (Gold for Banking).

“A special thanks to the Department of Education, Westrand Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, the judges and the Rotary Anne’s for making the day possible,” Chris Ziranek from the Rotary Club said.
