R’fontein Primary excels at D2

Six athletes have been chosen to participate in upcoming Gauteng Athletic Championships.

Randfontein Primary School gave its opponents a run for their money at this year’s D2 Athletics Championships held at Hoërskool Noordheuwel in Krugersdorp recently.

19 athletes represented the school in 25 events at the prestigious event. Following some great individual performances six athletes have been confirmed to represent the school in 12 events at the upcoming Gauteng Championships in March.

Athletes through to Gauteng Championships:

• Hudson Phiri – track events

• Olebeng Pitikoe – track events

• Michael Banacini – field events

• Keamogeswe Mutiyeni – track events

• Tshepiso Tsiloane – field events

• Jinnie Mabodla – track events
