R’fontein Show has load shedding covered

Organisers have measures in place in the event of load shedding.

Khulu Phasiwe from the Eskom Media desk has stated that the system is currently moderate and will be the same for the rest of the week.

“We are seeing a lot of demand but we are currently able to meet the demand. I spoke with National Control and from their side, we are likely to go without load shedding today if we do not have any problems with our generating units,” says Phasiwe.

With regards to the Randfontein Show, organisers have been told that the only load shedding that will occur during the show would be on Thursday between 6am and 10am.

Back up generators have also been put into place for the Kuierskuur and the Vodacom marquee just in case.

This means that Randfontein residents and visitors alike will be able to enjoy the Show without electricity interruptions.
