Sewage truck overturns on Main Road

Driver of sewage truck allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed.

At least two people were injured after a Randfontein Local Municipality sewage truck overturned on Main Road just after Home Affairs on Thursday.

According to reports on the scene, the driver lost control of the vehicle as a result of slippery roads and crashed.

A small section of Main Road was cordoned off which caused major traffic delays. Traffic was then redirected into the service road that runs parallel to Main Road on the left hand side.

The truck brought back onto its wheels and was towed away by Powergate towing.

The herald was informed that those injured sustained minor injuries only.
