A 90-year-old mother, grandmother and great grandmother was surprised on Sunday (15 February) when her friends and family organised a surprise birthday party for her.
Goggo Florence Mangidi was taken to her daughter’s house and was very surprised to find all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends at the party to celebrate her 90th birthday.
“She was so happy to see everyone together again and could not stop smiling. Many people in Mohlakeng know her and love her dearly. I am her neighbour, but she is more like a mother to me – he helped to raise me. That is just the good-hearted person she is, caring for everyone like they are her own children,” Mandaba Ndaba said.
Goggo Florence is still active and very healthy according to Mandaba.
“Just the other day I found her sweeping outside her house. I asked her what she was doing and Goggo replied very sweetly that she is keeping fit.”
Goggo Florence’s 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren helped her blow out the many candles on her beautiful birthday cake to mark an occasion she most likely never will forget.
The herald also wishes Goggo Florence a very happy birthday.
