A man believed to be a Mozambican national was beaten to death following an alleged brawl on the evening of Valentine’s Day.
Although no official police comment has been obtained as yet the neighbour of the deceased who witnessed the incident claims “The deceased was drinking with the man that beat him when a fight broke out in the road as they left for the deceased’s house. The deceased was then hit with some object.”
The man was then later informed that his neighbour passed away in hospital.
The man responsible for the beating has also allegedly been arrested but this is yet to be confirmed.
The neighbour added “We are trying to make arrangements for the body but he has no family here.”
