South Africa was laughing all the way to the petrol station when the petrol price dropped and continued to drop since late last year.
Come march, motorists will no longer be cheering when filling up as it has been said that a petrol price hike is on the cards for South African motorists.
The petrol price is predicted to increase by 63 cents a litre, diesel and illuminating paraffin going up approximately 45 and 48 cents respectively.
According to the Automobile Association (AA), a spike in the Rand/USD exchange rate is reason for the increase.
