Greenhills Spar‘s draw for a brand-new Hyundai i10 took place recently.
The lucky winner, Mariette Smuts drove away with the car after Fransiette Parrot drew her name out of thousands of slips. Visibly shocked, Mariette told the herald, “I am so happy. I do have a car but my husband and I was about to buy my daughter a car and now we proudly can give her this one.”
Two other people also won prizes.
Esther Smith from Robin Park won an automatic washing machine as her name was drawn second. She was overjoyed and said the prize had made her day.
Surrette Batt from Greenhills was the third winner and received a R500 gift voucher. “I was actually in a really bad mood the whole day, until I won the gift voucher. It will help me and my family so much,” she explained.
