Randfontein SAPS proud to report 37 cases relating to drugs opened since 1 January.

Management of the Randfontein police is proud to report 37 cases relating to drugs opened since 1 January of this year.

The charges on these dockets range from possession of drugs to dealing. The Randfontein SAPS and other units operating in the area declared war on drugs and drug abusers. Numerous sting operations were conducted in order to bring perpetrators to justice.

According to Randfontein police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst “The 37 suspects that were arrested in these cases have been appearing in court regularly, since their respective arrests.”

Drugs that have been confiscated include Marijuana (dagga), Heroin, Ketamine (Cat) and Ecstasy (ETC).

The police wishes to applaud the members of the Randfontein community who assisted them in the fight against drugs in Randfontein.

The acting Station Commander, Colonel Marius Smit conveyed his appreciation to the members and residents who are adamant in fighting this evil and promised that more arrests are imminent.
