EFF mourns member

Late EFF member's funeral was well attended by fellow members in full EFF attire.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is mourning the loss of fellow member Monde Kweyama who was murdered on Christmas Day in front of his 10-year-old son.

Kweyama was stabbed and died from his injuries upon his arrival at the Emergency Services Centre. The matter is under investigation and police believe the suspect in custody is responsible.

Kweyama was the Randfontein Subregional Coordinator for the EFF, Randfontein MPLO, and was a member of the Gauteng Provincial election technical team.

The memorial service was held last Friday (2 January) in Mohlakeng and the funeral was held two days later also in Mohlakeng. Fighter Kweyama was laid to rest at the Randfontein Cemetery in Greenhills.

The funeral was well attended by members in full EFF attire and some in full camouflage, seen saluting in their barrettes.

News of his death has exploded on social media and has left many saddened. Friends, family and fellow EFF members have left messages of support to the family that he was forced to leave behind.
