While many in Randfontein opened up gift-wrapped socks, ties and mugs for Christmas, two groups of parents welcomed their new baby girls into the world.
Life Robinson Private Hospital had two Christmas births, one during the early hours of the morning and the other during the afternoon.
The first, Njabulo Ngcem, was only expected on the 15th of January but came as a pleasant surprise to her parents Lerato and Jabulani Ngcem.
The second was Mené van Niekerk who was a ball of energy the since the first moments after her birth.
Her mother and father Johané and Nardus van Niekerk said “this is by far the most wonderful Christmas present that we have ever received – this is our first daughter. It is a blessing to have this beautiful and healthy little girl and that on such an auspicious occasion.”
Both little girls are healthy and were brought forth without any complication and both sets of parents are brimming with joy.
