One of the suspects allegedly had a fire arm.

Police have arrested two of three suspects who were involved in a business robbery in Mohlakeng last Wednesday.

According to Randfontein Police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst, “A 28-year-old business owner in Mohlakeng was woken by loud noises at around 1am (Wednesday 10 December).

“When he investigated he allegedly found three men breaking through the business premises’ wall to gain entry. One of the suspects allegedly had a firearm, which he pointed at the business owner and threatened him.

“The three suspects took cash and other goods from the shop and fled the scene through the same hole in the wall. Luckily no injuries were sustained during the incident and no shots were fired.

“Police attending to the scene followed up on incidents in the area and quickly were able to arrest two of the three suspects.

“The two suspects aged 32 and 34 briefly appeared in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court on Friday 12 December. The outcome was not made available to the herald.”
