Rotational load shedding for companies announced
Bad news for businesses from 15 to 21 December.
There have been various reports on Eskom about load shedding during the festive season.
Most of these reports revealed there is a low probability of load shedding and that things could change at any given moment. Well it has and it is not good news for businesses.
After Eskom announced that it is unlikely that they will be carrying out load shedding, they sent out a load shedding schedule. The schedule that the herald currently have in possession is one specifically for Randfontein.
According to the schedule the entire Randfontein will be affected by load shedding from the 15th of December to the 21st of December.
The substations that will be affected will be Mohlakeng, Randfontein, Drowel, Westergloor and Randfontein Industries Substation.
According to the load shedding schedule “Where stage 1 is likely to be switched off, stage 3 will only be switched off in extreme shortage.”
