Gunmen target family while having dinner

'Suspects proceeded to tie up members of the family and instructed them to keep quiet'

Police are investigating a serious case of house robbery where a family was recently targeted while having dinner.

According to Randfontein police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst, “A house robbery occurred in Eikepark on Friday 28 November at approximately 8pm. It is been alleged that the victims were having dinner when three armed men entered the house.

“The suspects proceeded to tie up members of the family and instructed them to keep quiet. Subsequently, the suspects ransacked the house and fled the scene with valuable electronic equipment.

“No shots were fired and the victims walked away unscathed.”

Any information that might lead to the arrest of the suspects or that might assist the investigation should be given to Warrant Officer Thabiso Duiker on 011 278 8100.
