`Troublemaker` at complex arrested

"He and his friends are no good" - resident.

A man in his 20s was arrested around 4pm on Saturday for allegedly firing gunshots in the residential area of West Porgess.

Residents explained to the herald they spotted police arresting the man on Saturday, 29 November at the Dick Powell complex in Village Street. One of them heard police say the man allegedly fired four gunshots near a CPF member`s house and then sped off.

“This person is permanently causing trouble,” a resident who wishes to remain anonymous said.

The community has dubbed the man a troublemaker. They claim he visits friends in the complex, where it is believed they party up a storm allegedly using drugs and alcohol.

“Him and his friends also once harassed a woman living next door to his friends and I have even heard him telling her he will run her over if she gets in his way,” the anonymous resident explained.

Over and above the intimidation, residents claim that this person disregards traffic laws and seen speeding up and down the road putting the lives of others in danger.

“He and his friends are no good and I am happy he has been arrested this time, but I know it won’t be long before he is out on the streets again endangering our children,” they added.

The herald will confirm his arrest with police and report on the matter as soon as more information is available.
