Titus’ alleged kidnappers withdraw bail application

Matter now handed over to a higher court; case postponed to early December.

The defense team for Lucky Titus’ kidnappers withdrew their bail application on Tuesday (25 November).

Titus was kidnapped last month in Mohlakeng and was found dead a few days later in Carletonville. The community was outraged with his disappearance and death. They ventured down the path of mob justice.

As a result of the matter being withdrawn, the case has been transferred to the West Rand Regional Court and is scheduled to continue on Monday 8 December. The case now is recognised as a serious matter and is given over to a higher court.

On Tuesday community members of Mohlakeng gathered at the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court in a bid to show their support to Titus’ family.

Their gathering also was to show that they are standing against crime in Mohlakeng and will not tolerate it.
