Culemborg Park murder suspect’s bail hearing soon

Suspect lived on the property of the victim's home.

The Culemborg Park murder case has been postponed again.

The 57-year-old victim Rina du Plessis was found dead on Saturday 5 October. Initially it was unknown as to whether she had been murdered or whether she died of natural causes. During an investigation it was found that she was murdered. The police also found that there was property missing from the house.

Since the initial arrest of the 35-year-old suspect in October, it has been discovered that Du Plessis had known the suspect – he lived on the property of the home.

After the case had been postponed twice, the accused is set to appear in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court again on 2 December for a bail hearing.
