Parau’s alleged killers to apply for bail

Three suspects appear in court a second time, case postponed.

Family and friends of the late Vincent Parau, 63, are still waiting for the outcome of the case against the three men allegedly involved in his murder.

Parau was fatally injured when he was shot in the face by robbers at his Middelvlei home on 22 October. His widow was also assaulted by the robbers but survived the ordeal.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Gert Kruger the three men appeared briefly in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court again on Monday, 10 November but the case has been postponed to Monday 17 November, pending further investigations.

It is believed the men will be handing in their bail applications, which the state prosecutor’s will be fighting against.
