Deadline app predicts death

New iPhone application claims it can predict your death to the nearest second.

Ever wondered when you might kick the bucket?

The herald learnt there is a cellphone application you can buy that can help you with exactly that question.

The iPhone product allegedly can predict when you’re going to die. Deadline promotes Apple’s HealthKit API that uses an algorithm and aspects of your lifestyle to calculate the approximate time of your death.

It also takes data such as your blood pressure, sleeping patterns and eating habits into consideration.

Obviously Deadline is just a bit of fun and can’t really predict the exact second you are going to fall over in your grave.

The application wasn’t developed to depress people but more to scare them into a healthier lifestyle. The countdown clock can be enabled as a widget in the Today section of your notifications and used as an overall fitness tracker.

Deadline costs just under R12 and is available inside the Apple App Store. It only has a one and a half star rating and that is probably because the application can’t predict anything definite about your actual death.
