Determined to guide talented youth away from crime

'My aim is to keep the youth off the streets'

With a passion for music and the arts Lindile Busakwe strives to help expose talented youth to the music and arts industry.

He does this in order to steer them away from crime and substance abuse.

Busakwe’s non-profit organisation, Westo Depoe is only one year old, but boasts with great success.

“My aim with Westo Depoe is to keep the youth off the streets and away from crime and drug abuse and help them use their talents to make a living as performers,” says Busakwe.

He adds that they currently have 41 people taking part in the project.

“I strive to empower our youth. Singing, dancing and drama can help them towards a better life and it is my goal to help them realise it,” she says.

Busakwe says they work hand in hand with Leethatainment Music to give these talented youngsters the needed exposure to the music and arts industry.

“In the past we have had great success and I truly believe that with the help of the community we can empower more youngsters,” says Busakwe.
