A casual conversation with a customer turns nasty as gunmen target business.

Staff and customers were held at gunpoint when a group of armed men targeted a business over the weekend.

According to Randfontein Police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst, “A business in Union Street was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday 12 October at approximately 12.40pm.

“It is alleged by a complainant that a man entered the shop and started a conversation with staff members.

“The man was joined by three other men, who were armed with a firearm. While the one suspect pointed the firearm at employees and customers, the others ransacked the shop.
