AfriForum branch to open in Randfontein

Randfontein residents also experience challenges regarding the lack of service delivery and other pertinent issues.

The Afriforum branch in Westonaria urges residents to attend their community meeting in Randfontein on 1 October.

This meeting will be held at the Love a Pet pet shop in Middelvlei at 6.30pm. The meeting’s aim is establish an additional branch in the area that will serve the particular community.

According to a member of AfriForum, Willy du Plessis, their membership in Westonaria is growing and the work of the forum is bringing about fruitful results.

“Our membership is really growing in Westonaria and we have come to a conclusion that Randfontein needs its own branch as they too are experiencing pressing issues where service delivery and other issues are concerned.

“To make sure these issues are addressed, the branch will have the community’s interests at heart. It will act as a middle man between the community and the municipality as well as other parties to ensure these issues are dealt with effectively,” says du Plessis.
