Possibly Toekomsrus’ oldest resident, Mietta Fourie has died at the age of 102.
According to family Fourie sadly passed away on 18 September owing to natural causes. She will be buried this weekend.
Although her death has saddened the family, they are glad to have had her with them for so long.
“Gran was a beautiful person inside and out and she was full of life despite her age,” says one of Fourie’s 10 grandchildren, Letitia Fourie.
“My grandmother was such a lovely person and I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say we are going to miss her. We have accepted our loss and although she is gone forever, we are glad to have had her for so long,” she adds.
Fourie leaves behind four children, 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
