Next RPA workshop announced

The RPA aims to build a strong West Rand business community.

The Randfontein Publicity Association (RPA) has confirmed the date for the next interactive management workshop.

The workshop is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 30 September from 8am to 2pm at the Randfontein Golf Club.

According to spokesperson of the RPA Joy Hamann, “In an ever-changing work environment, there are always challenges and demands that can wear down a business owner or manager.

“We care about the welfare of our members, that is why we offer them the opportunity to help them sustain and grow their business.

“One of the RPA’s aims is to build a strong West Rand business community. We do this by offering members monthly networking functions, online advertising and promotions. This workshop is just another way to help business owners and managers cope with the modern-day challenges.”

Hamann adds, “We negotiated a special price for the workshop and want to pass this discount on to our members. However, we also want to make this valuable training available to non-members, so bookings are open to all West Rand business owners or managers and their staff.”

Members will pay R280 per person and non-members R350, which includes tea, coffee, muffins and a light lunch. Bookings close on Thursday 25 September. Space is limited and bookings are essential.

“Learn how to face challenges head-on with facilitator Jan Coetzee from Makarios Training and Development. Come network, meet new people and equip yourself with the tools to develop your business,” says Hamann.

The day’s programme will be as follow:

• 8am to 9am: arrival and registration

• 9am to 11am: How to survive a recession; How to ensure a sustainable growth; Using social media as a marketing tool; The sensible budgeting process

• 11am to 11.30am: tea and coffee

• 11.30am to 1pm: Accounting in a nutshell; How to ensure a positive cash flow
