New bins in town

Project aims to encourage residents to keep their town clean.

The Randfontein Local Municipality has provided new rubbish bins for communities in Randfontein.

According to the manager of the Department of Environment and Waste, Norman Sidibe, “This was done in effort to make Randfontein a cleaner town. We want to ensure people have rubbish bins to utilize instead of littering the streets.

“Randfontein is being polluted daily as people throw their rubbish practically everywhere.

“We want to put an end to this, therefore we decided to implement additional rubbish bins in the different communities throughout Randfontein.

“We hope this will encourage residents to make use of them and keep their environment clean,” says Sedibe who adds that cleanliness after all is next to godliness.
